Mallory Jennifer Nicholson OBITUARY

Mallory Jennifer Nicholson died from cholangiocarcinoma June 17, 2025, with her father, Ross Nicholson of Houston, TX and her mother, Stephany Hamrell, of OC, CA, at her bedside. She is also survived by her brother Ryan Nichlson of San Luis Obispo, CA. She would also include her two beloved cats, King Louis and Fifi. Mallory was born in Long Beach, CA, on August 12, 1969.

As a child, Mallory could hardly wait for June, when she would fish with her father and grandfather and bake scones with her Nanny at their summer house on Lake Malachi, Ontario, Canada.

Her family and friends wish she had finished her children’s book about Fleur, the confident and adventurous flea who lived among the French markets that Mallory so loved.

Mallory graduated from Calabasas High School and UCI with a BA in Environmental Psychology (’91). She also succeeded in commercial real estate before starting Mallory et Cie using antique and vintage pieces of jewelry. She had just returned to California from TX, to be near the ocean and her long time UCI friends.

Mallory always had a deep interest in inspiring young girls through several Southern CA support organizations. She supported various programs through her “Dessert First” inspirational group, held throughout OC in the early 2000’s.

A celebration of Mallory’s positive and joyful life will be held on her birthday in an informal ceremony at Laguna Beach–her favorite place.
