The Santa Ana art community celebrated the return of its monthly celebration of creativity and expression Saturday night, as well as a new edition to an alley of murals in the downtown.

The first Saturday Artwalk was held since the start of the pandemic, with galleries and studios opening to the public and vendors setting up for the evening. The artwalk is held the first Saturday of each month throughout the downtown.

An open-air exhibit of art is The Alley of Kisses, behind Fourth Street between Bush and Main streets. Unveiled Saturday night was the newest mural, “The Birds,” a colorful expression of diversity painted by students from local high schools and Cal State Fullerton under the artistic coordination of Moses Camacho. It was created with sponsorship from the Santa Ana Business Council and the wall way donated by the property owner.
