LA Fleet Week spent the past four days honoring the nation’s seafaring military branches — and on Monday, May 26, it also memorialized service members who died while in uniform.

Fleet Week closed out its four-day run in San Pedro with a Memorial Day Observance on Monday evening, with the presentation of colors and a keynote speaker among the highlights of the ceremony, which occurred in front of the USS Battleship Iowa.

A red-a-white-and-blue wreath also rested on a stand in front of the stage where the observance took place.

The Memorial Day Observance is one of Fleet Week’s final activities each year.
