A man was killed in an assault in Mission Viejo on Wednesday afternoon, April 9, and another man was taken into custody as a person of interest, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies responded to a call on the 27000 block of Camden around 2 p.m., Sgt Gerard McCann said. They found a man in his 20s suffering from life-threatening injuries to his abdomen.
The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Deputies detained a man in connection with the attack.
The cause of the injuries, motive and the person of interest’s relation to the victim were not immediately available.
