Two-time Orange County player of the year Brandon Benjamin of Canyon and several girls committed to colleges highlight the rosters for the 58th Orange County all-star basketball games scheduled for May 10 at Cypress College.
The games, sponsored by OCO and Farmers & Merchants Bank, begin at 5 p.m. with the girls and conclude with the boys at 7 p.m. The games are for high school seniors.
Benjamin earned his second player of the year honor this past season after averaging 30 points. He signed with San Diego.
The boys game will also include Mason Hodges of San Juan Hills, a first-team All-County selection with Benjamin.
The girls game features college-bound seniors such as Amaya Williams of Mater Dei (Arizona State), Anna Shreeve of San Juan Hills (Utah Valley), Devyn Kiernan of Mater Dei (Southern Utah), Micaela Hanning of Crean Lutheran (Vanguard) and Gloria Barrera of Buena Park (Vanguard).
Barrera also averaged 30 points en route to first-team All-County honors with Williams, Shreeve and Hanning.
Tickets can be purchased presale from the players for $6. Admission at the event is $10 for both games. Students, children and coach receive free admission.
