Once you’ve received your ballot and filled it out, then what?

With many opening as early as Monday, Oct. 7, nearly 200 places around Orange County are designated as secure places for voters who wish to drop off their ballot in person, rather than put it in the mail.

Orange County voters have several options for voting in person or dropping off a ballot. There are vote centers all around the county where people can obtain a replacement ballot, register to vote or find other election-related assistance. These will begin to open starting Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Others will open on Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Election Day, all vote centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are also ballot drop boxes scattered around the country. These open on Oct. 7 and are available 24/7 up until Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Use the map below to find the nearest vote center or ballot drop box location to you. Pink buildings indicate vote centers, purple cars represent vote centers with drive-thru options and teal boxes are ballot drop boxes. Click on each pinpoint for more information, including when the site opens and other notes for access, like cross-streets.

The U.S. Postal Service is scheduled to pick up 1.8 million ballots on Saturday, Oct. 5, that will then be mailed to all registered voters in Orange County, according to county elections officials. Ballots could be in some mailboxes as early as Monday.

More information about the various ways to then cast those ballots can be found on the Orange County Registrar of Voters website.
